Reflections A student asked me if I voted for Barack Obama just because of the color of his skin. Hmmm. . .I had to choose my words carefully. I told her that based upon the 2 choices, Barack Obama's platform on the issues impressed me and promoted what I needed: change. In the past elections, race was never an issue in the race. We just chose a president based on the issues. But because of race, it was an issue. Regardless, the American public spoke and elected a historic choice, Barack Obama!
